Zipporah or Tzipora (צִפּוֹרָה "Bird", Standard Hebrew Ẓippora, Tiberian Hebrew ṢippĂ´rāh), mentioned in the Book of Exodus, is Moses's wife.
Moses meets Zipporah once fleeing from either Egypt. Her father is Jethro, a priest of Midian. Zipporah & Moses use deuce sons, Gershom and Eliezer.
Zipporah features inside the puzzling & lot-debated passage: At one point, when Moses is giving to Egypt to confront Pharaoh, Zipporah saves Moses's life. God is prepared to obliterate Moses, apparently because his eldest boy Gershom got non been circumcised, so Zipporah performs a circumcision & touched Moses's feet using a foreskin, saying, "Surely you are a bridegroom of blood to me." God so spares Moses.
She is buried in the Tomb of the Matriarchs in Tiberias.
A traditional Jewish & Christian look at has been that Zipporah is Moses' Cushite wife described in [http://biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Numbers%2012:1;&version=31; Numbers 12:1], however occasionally early sources (including Josephus Jewish Antiquities 2.10-11 & Targum Pseudo-Jonathan) state they were different women, when clean a bit of modern scholars.[http://bible-history.com/isbe/C/CUSHITE+WOMAN%3B+ETHIOPIAN+WOMAN/] [http://bible-history.com/isbe/Z/ZIPPORAH/]
